On 20 March a course in Local Fundraising, based on the Change the Game programme, was initiated at CESE. Using dialogue, practical activities and distance learning tools, the training aims to improve planning and strategies for the diversification of fundraising activities. Partner organisations and the CESE team participated in the meeting.
The second week of the course, which runs until 30 March, is aimed at training trainers; at this point participants will acquire new teaching methodologies and learning tools. The Change the Game programme was established by the Dutch agency Wild Geese, with support from CESE, the Kenyan Community Development Foundation and the Smile Foundation. MDF, a Dutch education and training consultancy, runs the training and facilitates the course.
