The AGRI IS FIRE Coalition (Articulação AGRO é FOGO) brings together social movements, organizations and pastorals, including CESE, that have worked for years in the defence of the Amazon, Cerrado and Pantanal and for the rights of their peoples and communities, mobilizing public debate through common messages, which are examined in-depth in articles on the AGRI IS FIRE platform, launched in the first half of 2021.
This platform aggregates analysis and reports of the multiple dimensions of the environmental devastation and land conflicts that occured in the wake of the criminal use of fire by the agri-business value chain, providing evidence of the intrinsic relationship between the environmental issue and the agricultural and land question in Brazil.
In the second phase of the Agri is Fire Dossier, the coalition has followed in the wake of the fires to reveal how they continue to constitute a threat to the lives of communities in the Amazon, Cerrado and Pantanal.
