For more than 40 years, CESE has worked in the promotion, defence and guarantee of rights in Brazil. It does this because it knows that inequality and injustice persist.
Set up by Christian Churches, CESE’s mission is to strengthen civil society organizations, particularly grassroot ones, that are engaged in struggles for political, economic and social transformations that lead to the structures within which democracy and justice can prevail.
Currently it is composed of the following churches:
