Bahia receives interactive exhibition about violence against women

As part of orange May (the month to Combat the Abuse and Exploitation of Children and Adolescents), faith-based organizations and churches presented the exhibition “Not Every Home is Sweet”, an itinerant exhibition to popularize discussions about and confront violence, by staging a typical family home, containing domestic utensils, furniture and information that suggests a context of aggression suffered by women, children, young people and the elderly.  The aim of the exhibition was to reveal how a space where love and care should exist may hide pain and suffering. The exhibition was an initiative of the Lutheran Foundation of Diakonia (Fundação Luterana de Diaconia: FLD) in partnership with CESE, Koinonia and the United Presbyterian Church of Itapagipe (Igreja Presbiteriana Unida de Itapagipe).
