Women from grassroots groups came together in Salvador (Bahia) to mobilize, train and coordinate the Bahian Camp for Rural and Urban Women. The 14th edition of the eventwas held in March and represented a significant moment of dialogue and collective construction, which continues to connect the participants, helping them carry on mobilizing in the pursuit of new forms of organization and joint action.

The Bahian Camp for Rural and Urban Women aims to strengthen the mobilization, training and collective organization of Bahian women in rural areas, in the forests and waters, and in urban areas, against all forms of violence. The initiative also seeks to formulate public policies aimed at women’s well-being and to support advocacy. In addition, the camp seeks to integrate and amplify women’s demands in the various arenas in which they act.
This initiative was supported by CESE through its Small Projects Programme.
