CHECK OUT FUNDRAISING AND POLITICAL ADVOCACY TIPS WITHOUT LEAVING HOME

A CESE campaign is now available online with tips about how to fundraise in times of pandemic.  The initiative aims to provide organizations with guidance in how to confront the crisis, in terms of management, fundraising activities and continued support to strengthen the political advocacy of grassroots groups.

The content includes campaign videos with tips and guidance about fundraising and political advocacy in times of political and sanitary crisis.

‘Navigating COVID-19’

This video campaign was inspired by new content from the “NAVIGATING COVID-19” section of the Change the Game Academy, which contains digital content about local experiences, political advocacy activities and fundraising campaigns from organizations in Brazil and other countries.

Through the Change the Game Academy, groups will access new materials, such as articles, news and texts about the populations most vulnerable in the current situation.  Moreover, they will be able to access support tools to develop a full crisis management plan, a crisis communications plan, a project for collective fundraising through online crowdfunding, and instructions about how to monitor and evaluate these activities.

Content at the Change the Game Academy (www.virandoojogo.org.br in Portuguese) can be accessed free of charge.

Change the Game Programme

The digital platform is part of the Change the Game Programme, based on work undertaken between 2007 and 2015, supported by the Dutch agency Wild Geese.  Through this programme, more than 900 organizations from Brazil, India, Kenya and South Africa participated in face-to-face training.  In Brazil, the initiative is implemented by CESE, with support from the Dutch agency.

The Change the Game Programme operates in South and Central America (Brazil and Guatemala, respectively), Africa (South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Burkina Faso, Mali, Ghana, Benin and Uganda), and Asia (India, Nepal and Bangladesh).
